We all know about glasses that go darker in the sun. Wouldn't it be nice to have contacts that also react to light. Using the proven technology of Acuvue Oaysis, Johnson and Johnson in conjunction with Transition Optical has now started clinical trials on a contact lens that controls the amount of light entering the eye. The darkness of the contact lenses will vary with the intensity of the sunlight. The lenses will also have a UV and Blue light filter so your eyes are protected from both UV radiation and the glare. It is expected that these lenses will be release sometime in 2019.
