It may come as a surprise to some contact lens wearers that contact lenses and tap water don't mix. Mixing tap water and contact lenses can lead to a serious eye infection and possibly a loss of vision. It is perfectly safe to wash your hands with soap before handling your contact lenses. In fact we recommend it. Always make sure your hands are dry before handling your lens. Never handle your lenses with wet fingers, rinse or store them in tap water. Following these simple steps will insure that your eyes stay healthy.
